The Executive Division works to effectively
implement and execute the law and to run the day-to-day affairs of our
City.
Accounting Division
Charged with identifying, measuring, recording,
interpreting, and communicating the results of economic activity; tracking
business income and expenses and using these numbers to answer specific
questions about the financial and tax status of the our City.
Information Systems Division (251) 968-1130
Charged with the planning,
acquisition, development and use of information systems for the City.
Municipal Court Division (251) 968-6780
The municipal court shall have jurisdiction of all
prosecutions for the breach of the ordinances of the municipality within its
police jurisdiction. The municipal court shall have concurrent jurisdiction with
the district court of all acts constituting violations of state law committed
within the police jurisdiction of the municipality which may be prosecuted as
breaches of municipal ordinances.
Magistrates are
available to law enforcement for the issuance of
warrants and for the filing of court documents.
Personnel Division (251) 968-1126
Charged with personnel sourcing and hiring,
applicant tracking, skills development and tracking, benefits administration and
compliance with associated government regulations.
Revenue Division (251) 968-2426
Charged with collecting and processing tax revenue
for the City, which includes issuing new business licenses and renewals; parking
permits; hurricane passes and penalty payments. The City's general tax rate is 3%.
